The Chicago, IL designated market area (DMA) is a U.S. television market serving the people in the state of Illinois. It is the third biggest media market by size in the United States, with a total population of 3,654,750 TV households as of the 2024-2025 television season. The Chicago DMA comprises 16 counties across two states, namely, Cook, De Kalb, Du Page, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, La Salle, Lake, McHenry, and Will, IL; and Jasper, La Porte, Lake, Newton, and Porter, IN.
