It is the sixth biggest media market by size in the United States, with a total population of 2,797,420 TV households as of the 2024-2025 television season, up +1% from that of the 2023-2024 season. The Houston DMA comprises 20 counties, namely, Austin, Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Jackson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, Washington, and Wharton, TX.
