It is the 33rd biggest media market by size in the United States, with a total population of 1,033,680 TV households as of the 2024-2025 television season, up +1% from that of the 2023-2024 season. The Kansas City DMA comprises 33 counties across two states, namely, Anderson, Atchison, Douglas, Franklin, Johnson, Leavenworth, Linn, Miami, and Wyandotte, KS; and Bates, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Linn, Livingston, Mercet, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Ray, Saline, and Worth, MO.
