It is the 28th biggest media market by size in the United States, with a total population of 1,163,520 TV households as of the 2024-2025 television season, down -1% from that of the 2023-2024 season. The Salt Lake City DMA comprises 38 counties across four states, namely, Bear Lake, Franklin, and Oneida, ID; Elko, and White Pine, NV; Beaver, Box Elder, Cache, Carbon, Daggett, Davis, Duchesne, Emery, Garfield, Grand, Iron, Juab, Kane, Millard, Morgan, Piute, Rich, Salt Lake, San Juan, Sanpete, Sevier, Summit, Tooele, Uintah, Utah, Wasatch, Washington, Wayne, and Weber, UT; and Lincoln, Sublette, Sweetwater, and Uinta, WY.
