Fact Check:
Jimmy Kimmel is not Jewish. He is Italian. Secondly Jimmy's ratings have not gone down in 2025 due to Trump's attacks on him. He has instead gained a quarter of a million regular viewers from September 2025 to December 2025. That jump is massive because that's what sponsors of the network look for to generate money for the network. All Trump has done is to try to end freedom of speech which is hilarious because Trump accused Biden of blocking freedom of speech. There are tons of videos on Youtube of Trump accusing Biden of the same thing. Kimmel has not earned hundreds of millions before taxes on his show for over 20 years because he sucks. He is extremely talented, funny and smarter than most MAGA voters will ever be. As a nation with a Constitution that has implemented Freedom of Speech from the onset, we cannot approve of Trump stealing Americans rights if he doesn't agree with our opinions. That's an authoritarian regime.

Erica Kirk needs to do some more praying with her soul. She forgives the guy who shot and killed her husband...thats good and absolute. But in the CBS interview with CBS head Bari Weiss she spews venom for anyone who thinks his killing was justified. As a true Christan she should look deeper in her soul and find the same forgiveness she found for Charlie's murderer...or, she's just lying!

Jimmy Kimmel is a true American treasure. Late night television has not enjoyed a host the caliber of Jimmy Kimmel since the days of Steve Allen and Jack Paar. Jimmy does it against the odds. He is a white male, Jewish, effeminate, a high school graduate and a one year college dropout, (which explains a lot). Even with a lack of achieving much, if any, formal education Jimmy has earned and was awarded his honorary doctorate, in something, from the very prestigious UNLA. SO, like Dr. Jill Biden, a doctorate is a doctorate, he will always have that to fall back on. Proudly, Jimmy carries that diploma in the glovebox of his car, just incase anyone questions his Intelligence. Also, to Jimmy’s credit, has never let lack of knowledge on any subject hold him back, always speaking with great authority on things he knows absolutely nothing about.
Yes, Jimmy is a true American icon and Disney / ABC is very lucky to own him.

His ratings always drop in the summer when he's away on vacation. His guest hosts don't have the same draw. His monolog from his return last night is already at 16 million viewers and will probably double in the next two days. Sinclair and Nexstar pre-emptions will force Kimmel viewers to youtube and other streaming platforms resulting in a far better monetization story. No matter how you look at this, it's a huge win for Kimmel as not only has it driven existing viewers to streaming platforms but has pulled in a massive new viewers. Just wait until the month Ending September 30th comes out.

6.26 Million tuned in last night. Highest ratings in over a decade. This is with 25% of the market pre-empted and doesn't including the streaming viewers which completely dwarfed broadcast.

Don’t forget, people tuned in to see what he was going to say, can’t acclaim all those viewers are regulars. It was expected that when he came back we’d all tune in to hear what crap he’d spew and what the directors wrote for him

His ratings for night two tanked. That is why nobody is reporting them

Why Jimmy Kimmel Reigns Supreme in Late Night Television

Jimmy Kimmel has proven time and time again that he is one of the greatest voices in late night television. What sets him apart isn’t just his wit and sense of humor, but his ability to always seem to land on the right side of the issues that truly matter. Whether it’s politics, health care, or social justice, Kimmel uses his platform responsibly, shining light on topics that deserve attention and approaching them with both compassion and common sense.

Beyond his advocacy, the entertainment value of Jimmy Kimmel Live! is unmatched. It’s one of those rare shows where it doesn’t matter who the guest is—you just know it’s going to be a great show. From the monologue to the interviews to the sketches, Kimmel delivers consistent quality and keeps viewers laughing, thinking, and coming back for more.

The idea of taking Jimmy Kimmel off the air is both absurd and alarming. Doing so would be nothing less than censorship—a direct violation of the First Amendment. Free speech is a cornerstone of American democracy, and silencing voices simply because they aren’t flattering to the president or those in power is wrong. A healthy democracy thrives on diverse perspectives, not suppression.

Jimmy Kimmel is, without question, the best in late night television today. Long may he reign as the true king of late night, using his humor, heart, and honesty to entertain us while reminding us of the values that matter most.

He is a wearout. People are sick of being lectured.

Mike

Oct 9, 2025 00:06 EST

What is your definition of lecture? There's nothing more American than having the freedom to criticize or make jokes about elected leaders. That's not lecturing. If you want to hear lectures, listen to Trump whining about how everyone is out to get him while he's sending US military to terrorize cities that happen to have Democratic mayors.

I live in a country and from what I understand it is described by your president as a hellhole. Yet our mainstream media are trying to report based on facts and figures, often factchecking. We do have many political parties and being left or even socialist or Liberal or right is not a crime. Freedom is in our constitution as well without prejudice, race, gender, belief. It is not perfect but media try their hardest with many honest people and respect. Media hold the power to make people belief. If you politisize media you will abandon intellect for autocracy. Giving the slightest hint of political involvement in freedom of speech is a sloping path. Freedom doesn't allow you to insult, spread hatred, call for violence. All I can say is that government does not decide on that but the law and the courts.

If Kimmel gets dropped, it wouldn't surprise me to see other broadcast networks reconsider their late night TV schedule, or go completely to other platforms.

What I feel is much worse has been the conversation online surrounding how closely this recent action resembles other countries that openly embrace censorship (North Korea, China, Russia, etc.). I want to believe that the First Amendment hasn't been solely violated by this one incident, and that America is a free nation, but the reverberation from this has hit a lot harder.

I’m so confused about the free speech debate. Kimmel can still speak and say whatever he wants. If you work for an employer, you abide by their rules if you want to keep your job.

Kimmel sucks

Sep 20, 2025 20:01 EST

This has nothing to do with free speech. You people all lectured us and ruined our lives in 2020 for that. Did you forget?

Even if it were I don’t care anymore. You all have lost and abused your privilege. Time for you to be shut down.

Jeanne

Charlie Kirk was killed for exercising his Freedom Of Speech. Agree or disagree with his views but the bottom line is in THIS Country he had the rRight to say whatever
Without repercussions.

Likewise, Jimmy Kimmel has the SAME rights.. To say whatever. Without repercussions.

Actually the networks are regulated by the government in this country you're not allowed to go on national television and lie. He said a right wing extremist maga person committed the crime just a tiny bit of research will tell you that's not true

Big Mack

"...regulated by the government..."

So are trucking, railroads, and airlines. That doesn't mean they are OPERATED by the government.

In fact, name one business that ISN'T "regulated by the government"...

"Without repercussions" as he was assassinated. How dense.

Bruenaur

Sep 18, 2025 20:31 EST

This has nothing to do with the 1st Amendment. He's just not funny and his ratings were plummeting. He can start a podcast or YouTube channel.

NotDumb

Sep 20, 2025 08:45 EST

It's absolutely about the government pressure... the network affiliates literally said the reason they are cutting it off it's because of his comments.

5 hours earlier the FCC chair talked about how he and the government could pressure the network affiliates with fines and license revocation if they didn't do what he wanted...

You are delusional and illiterate if you think this has to do with ratings right now.

Jimmy Kimmel sucks

Sep 20, 2025 19:59 EST

Keep coping. He is so unfunny that not even you Antifa watch him. Same with Colbert. Kimmel himself even admitted last year that ‘late night comedy’ is a dead format and he signed his signal contract. All of this was a pretext by ABC, CBS and eventually NBC to rid themselves of these talentless comedians and their ridiculous contracts. Nobody under 75 watches television anymore. Advertisers are abandoning this format in droves. It’s unprofitable and losing $50 million annually now. That doesn’t justify having a 300 man staff for an hour of television with commercial breaks.
