I still feel bad for Cartoon Network. Despite showing more shows than Nickelodeon nowadays, they still get less viewers, thanks to being booted off by cable providers as a premium channel that no other viewers that still have cable don't have enough money to subscribe to.

Cartoon Network should keep up the great work of bringing back classic shows like the original Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and Adventure Time. Focus less on TTG marathons and keep adding variety to the lineup. Adult Swim does such a great job with their show lineup.
They're airing less TTG now LOL. TTG marathons are only saved for special occasions instead of being a permanent schedule just like NickToons with SpongeBob, Nick Jr (mostly the block) with PAW Patrol, and TeenNick with Henry Danger.

Seriously, I don't care if Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and MeTVToons underperform in the ratings when compared to the Nickelodeon and Disney Channels, ESPECIALLY Nickelodeon. CN still has a better lineup compared to Nickelodeon! And it seriously breaks my heart to see NickToons turn into a 24/7 SpongeBob Network for over one year and still beat Boomerang just because of that!

I'd honestly be fine with them just giving the whole network to [adult swim] at this point. Cartoon Network is redundant now, especially when MeTV Toons exists and Discovery Family is airing CN's shows, and they'd definitely get more ad money in the few remaining CN hours if they were [adult swim] hours instead. This channel means a lot to me, but I'd rather get the Canadian dream of a 24 hour [as] than get a zombie Cartoon Network.

Look, man. I’m not trying to be a dick or anything, I just don’t think your point makes that much sense.
I for one can NEVER understand how can anyone in this era of television even prefer watching Nickelodeon over Cartoon Network nowadays, considering the current schedules for pretty much all the Nickelodeon channels is the textbook definition of pure laziness. Whatever in the f**k happened to the NickToons channel nowadays? It has now become the SpongeBob Network. I've seen people say the NickSpongeBob event is a summer occasion only, yet even before rebranding into that NickToons was still that way. Does NickToons no longer care about the beloved classic shows especially the pre-TMNT 2012 shows? Or does all of Nickelodeon's current scheduling team not even remember what NickToons used to be two decades ago anymore? I get Paramount Plus still exists, but come on.
And yet people still act like Cartoon Network hasn't been good since 2017 when their obsession with Teen Titans Go has gotten out of hand. Do they not even realize the good things CN has finally done after the WBD merger, and that Nickelodeon has already went downhill at this point. In my opinion I feel this toxic never-ending mentality of praising Nickelodeon and b**ching on Cartoon Network without even looking at their current schedules is why CN's Checkered Past block got the boot from cable.

The moment NickToons ditched The Fairly OddParents from its lineup in 2022 was the beginning of the downfall of what was once a great competitor to Boomerang for Paramount back in the day until that downfall completely worsened in May 2024 when their schedule switched to nothing but SpongeBob 24/7! I don't even understand how a Paramount-owned channel that has already hit rock bottom at this point can outperform a WBD-owned channel that actually went back to airing the classics in the ratings! The people watching NickToons right now must have already have their lost their brains completely... like, do they even know what a good retro cartoon channel schedule looks like in the modern TV era anymore.
Sad to say but literally 65000 viewers on a major tv network is insanely low. The amount of money that cartoons need to produce, even low effort ones like TTG, is insanely high. I imagine they make more money selling their catalogue to streaming networks.
The future, unfortunately, is quite bleak. Adult Swim will probably do fine due to its hold on adult animation, but CN is doomed.
