My wife sometimes watches the show when there is no better choice. There are two things I don't like about the show. First, the audience sounds prompted as it overreacts to everything no matter how trivial. Applause sign flashes! Crew gestures for everyone to scream excitedly! At least that's what I imagine is going on. There's no chance for a real audience reaction here. Second, there are too many hosts and they often talk over each other. It's not my preferred way to talk.

The Talk used to be my favorite show when Julie Chen , Sharon and Sara were at the helm. They had fun guest co-hosts like Carnie Wilson, Brigitte Nielsen, Reba McEntire, Vanessa Williams, etc. I watched every show, and taped many, many of them to keep. The guests were top-rate, and the show was intelligent and yet fun.
The pathetic mess that this once interesting and informative show has become is appalling, to say the least. The hosts are boring (Akbar, Amanda) or just plain over-the-top: Jerry. Natalie would be quite capable with a different cast of co-hosts. The guests are strictly B and C listers, I am sick of sports being one of the most popular topics for discussion. This was a women's talk show, remember? The hosts "dancing" out at the beginning and having entire shows dedicated to celebrating each of their birthdays is just really ridiculous. The co-hosts they dig up now I never heard of, at least, most of them.
Ms Kloots is beautiful, but not cut out to be a talk-show host. Akbar is better suited to being a sports announcer and sticking to his own lane. He is full of himself, and is horribly boring. Jerry is funny and affable, but takes it too far. Again, this is a talk show, not a comedy special. And he needs to sit up straight in his chair and stop slouching. Sheryl has lost weight, but her humor is gone and what she did to Sharon is unforgivable. She does not fit into this mismatched group of second-rate on-air talent.
It is not surprising that this sad group is bleeding viewers every week. It is time to listen to the audience, and revamp this show to what it once was, or throw in the towel. My guess is that A-list guests want no part of this
Agreed with everything you said except for saying what Sheryl did to Sharon being unforgivable. Sharon and her well-known history of mistreating people she's worked with is what got her fired from the show. Sheryl still speaks highly of Sharon while Sharon has dogged her out by using the press to attack her and creating rumors that Sheryl had been the problem behind the scenes and almost got violent with a producer while story after story about her own alleged misbehavior BTS.
Back to the show/hosts. Amanda is sweet but not a good fit, Akbar I can take or leave and Jerry's annoying. I totally agree that Natalie and Sheryl deserve three (or two) co-hosts that can match their energy better. Two other guest co-hosts who should've been considered over the last few years are Brigitte Neilsen and Rumer Willis. I hate that Carrie Ann Inaba's health issues forced her to leave since she was a great addition after Julie left.
I used to be a View fan back in the Meredith Vieira days and while l cannot stand that loud, catty henhouse mess of a show anymore at least they knew how to turn things around when their ratings plummeted due to an endless merry-go-round of hosts. TPTB at CBS should've taken note.

Agreed what Cheryl was unforgivable. Glad they axed Elsine but the show ended when Sharon left.
