I like watching late night with Abby Phillip except when Scott Jennings is on, that smirk on his face says he has no respect for the host or panel members.. The black conservatives seem to be vying for crumps from their president, I noticed Shermichael Singleton, back at the WH collecting a few. Abby may seem different because fortunately/unfortunately she was raised by Trinidadian parents, culture-vise, you do not interrupt out of respect; some Americans are rude and pushy. Abby I remember you were the WH reporter until Trump insulted you and others; be yourself and remember you are QUALIFIED to have a show, I will always pay to have The Dish to watch you. Love from Canada.

This show is for real. Abby is smart, well informed and always knowledgeable about the latest! She is not biased, in fact she tries to keep some very biased guests in reality. It has become harder to watch the Republican analysts (Scott Jennings, Ben Ferguson(especially bad) , Shermichael, and others because they think their voices are the only ones that should be heard…so they talk over everyone else….with smirks on their faces. Their facial smirks and facial emoting is for idiots. Very practiced and silly. I appreciate those people on the show that are not afraid to speak the truth to the American people.
Abby’s questions are concise and should get clean answers from all guests. I once thought that Jennings was a really smart guy but since he embraced MAGA., he looks like a silly clown. Whatever happened to good, patriotic republicans? Get rid of Big mouth Ben. He is incredibly annoying and stupid!
By the way. Trump always publicly acknowledged his desire to get rid of NATO and hmmm, who else was always trying to get rid of NATO…..Putin!!!! He tried to make that a concession from Ukraine that Ukraine would not join NATO. Was Trump catering to his buddy and seeing the USA getting Greenland and securing the collapse of NATO for Putin???? AND securing his friendship with Putin????

I love this show! I love Abby! I actually enjoy Scott Jennings! He’s very intelligent and he cleans up the b.s. for MAGA as much as he can while adding some funny ass responses that have a shimmer of sense to it! Very entertaining for me!

I used to love this show but I can’t watch anymore. Abby constantly interrupts her conservative guests but lets the liberal guests talk over everyone. I would love to find a show with both sides presented equally.
And, I can’t listen to Anna Navarro. She is like a giant open nerve.
Abby is straight up democratic liberal trash. Anti DJT syndrome and has nothing positive to say about America. Scott is the only reason it is surviving. She should join the view, and hate on each other.

I used to love Abby's show with the polite back and forth
But now I can't even hear anyone, especially when the conservative person speaks because they all talk over him or her and interrupt constantly. Let everyone have their complete say and then give your rebuttals

There is minimal control by Abby Phillips. Guests interrupt constantly if someone has a valid point. This show is not worth watching.

Bob, you hit the nail on the head. Her program is a horrible free for all with very little control over those attending a show, particularly some regulars. As far as I am concerned they should put the show on at 2 AM and fill in the 10 PM slot with a quality consistent with CNN.

DJ & Richard, I totally agree with you. I have tried and tried to get through an hour of this show with no success. The constant interrupting, talking at the same time and over each other is madness. I too wish there was a smaller panel of qualified quests that had some modicum of respect for each other and the host. Until then I will not be watching this show.

NewsNight host Abby Phillip has a genuinely benevolent personality and a vibrantly alluring presence. Her gentle persistent efforts to maintain control over the discussion are admirable, and regular panelist Scott Jennings rightly praised her supervisory finesse at the end of 2024. But over the last two months, the guests' collective respect for Phillip's role as moderator has deteriorated. Her efforts to restore order to conversations when clashing speakers refuse to be silent now require prolonged effort. Some of the worst offenders are the most frequent guests, including CNN employees. Having up to five contributors to conversations rather than a smaller number invariably contributes to the misconduct of some guests, and the pointlessness of tuning in. Guests such as Elie Honig who have substantial expertise and who provide genuine insight are greatly outnumbered by intellectual mediocrities who merely voice biased opinions.
The program benefits tremendously when knowledgeable experts such as Elie Honig are present.
Whether the solution involves temporary disinvitation or permanent exclusion of specific guests, muting of mics, or much stricter control of speaker order, whichever producer or manager is ultimately responsible for permitting this annoying disorder to persist needs to immediately show some professionalism or be replaced. Newsnight has never been a top source for analysis, but Phillip's unwavering maturity and substantial intellect are enticing. Nonetheless, I will have diminishing respect for her, and definitely no inclination to keep viewing this program, unless more considerate and disciplined conduct at the table is promptly and permanently implemented.

She doesn't even try to be fair anymore. I used to enjoy her show but now all 3 left wing people including Abby just interrupt and talk over the 2 conservative talkers. It's getting to where it's NOT interesting because she's not fair and doesn't ask her left wing people to let the conservative finish a sentence. After everyone says their opinions, then let the others give theirs. It's so boring now that she shows her total bias and thinks she's right on EVERYTHING

The problem with your comment is that it is the conservative panelists who constantly talk over any other guests. Watch carefully and leave your bias behind for one show and note who constantly interrupts and over talks anyone else.

I like this this show, but it often happens that two or more of the panelists will speak at the same time, creating auditory chaos.
Oy! In preparation for each show, Abby should establish a rule that panelists can speak ONLY when they're spoken to ---by Abby.
That would fix it! No?
