So sad. This show had great potential. However, instead of focussing on the joy and beauty of Italy and Italian cuisine, the show became one of manufactured drama and nastiness. The world has enough of that! So sad and disappointing. A true missed opportunity to be a great show.

I thought this show would be very cooking intense and less back stabbing. From day one, it was save yourself mentality, which led to self centered individuals sabotaging another competitor, I.e. taking all the mushrooms I would have preferred to see how the chefs discussed a menu that was cohesive and work toward that instead of, what are you want to do? Copo should decide the team direction and say NO when things are not what will work, instead of not hurting feelings and holding grudge. I was looking for the ingredients being front and center and it was not what I saw. The most experienced chefs did not show skills or ingredient forward food. It was a kluge of individuals preferences, in spite knowing it was not cohesive meal. Did this achieve the outcome in the end? Not sure. Did the winner outlook the more experienced chef? Again not sure. Do great leeks out chef a great meat? Where was the direction from the two judges? They could have given stronger detail on the expected cooking techniques. This show would have to get much more culinary detail and ingredient heavy and less on individuals personalities.
This started as a great show, however it turned into a popularity contest, not a cooking show. Even though the brough the best cooks back, the apparent best cook did not win. They just brought him back for "show" and ratings. The let one of the final women win for ratings. This was a great disappointment and not sure would watch again.
