Guys. Alex the new host on hot rod garage is cute and classy and tries hard. But! I cannot stand the show now. Tiny was way more knowledgeable and her cutesy stuff sickens me after about two episodes.

Guys. Alex the new host on hot rod garage is cute and classy and tries hard. But! I cannot stand the show now. Tiny was way more knowledgeable and her cutesy stuff sickens me after about two episodes.
When Hot Rod Garage lost Tony, they not only lost credibility but passion, excitement, trust, knowledge and experience. And as the above numbers are proving, they are also losing their audience and ratings! Their new host, Alex, can’t be taken seriously. It’s obvious why she was put in the show. Boxes needed to be checked. Before she can be accepted into the hot rod community, she needs to earn the respect and trust of the audience. Right now, she needs to lose the cutesy-pie, teeny-bopper giggly persona she seems to be trying to project to the audience. That might work with the teenage boys, but anyone that is serious about the hot rod community knows that her on-air “performance” is just a ploy to gain viewership. And obviously by the (drastic) actions of the MotorTrend channel to not only increase but hold on to viewership by advertising the show during every commercial break during every show on MotorTrend TV as well as banner placement DURING the shows is proof that they know that HRG, in its current state, is a sinking ship! And that is a shame! What was an excellent, very informative show with Tony and Lucky, has now turned into a Disney Channel side show apparently aimed towards teenage boys that aren’t old enough to subscribe to girly magazines! Alex either needs to grow up and take the show seriously or do MotorTrend a favor and step aside and let a true automotive professional join Lucky in an attempt at resurrecting what used to be a high quality, educational and informative show!
