Alicia does a SERIOUS disservice to MSNBC viewers watching deadline Whitehouse.

Rachel Madow horned her skills over the years, earning the public trust, matched by her books, lectures etc earning her stripes.

Jen Psaky-she was IN THE ROOM! For two presidents! As was Nichole Wally… And Michael Steele! Stephanie Ruhle! Lawrence O’Donnel! Professionally, educationally and in the world of politics, commerce and business! Neal Katiyal…. Tim Haffy…. And all the “Sisters in Law” podcasters… Andrew Weisman…..And Alicia tells him what SHE thinks…. Based on what? Other than a bachelor’s degree and a self-help book in a world of lost young people-whose parents did no parenting? (In your case, May be it’s a good thing?) Simone? She is doing MORE to undermine progress by the black community than any klan member or trump ever could!

Sister President of MSNBC, you earned your job-in business-especially at the top, affirmative action doesn’t do squat. Want to support women and minorities, look around-you hired many OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS-oh! The guest list you have! 90% of your anchors, reporters and Guests. It seems key people at key points, crowed your newsrooms. Good! I live there, too, in the audience!
Then there’s the stones in the rice-Alicia.. Simone…Alicia Rosco…Alex Wagner…

Please, please, PLEASE!!! 4-6 is a critical time slot. Tectonic shifts are happening… presidential immunity… Double jeopardy…insurrection-driven disqualifications… lawyers for parties arguing one thing in one context, the opposite in another…. Get Nicole in there…QUICK! If Alicia is the only choice, play crickets! I thought most replacements did ok- None of them thought they knew more than Harvard law professors-35-time Supreme Court appearance veteran, acting attorney general ..or acted like it… the fact that you thought about law school doesn’t make you more qualified than REAL lawyers!

ever hear Nicole spout her views? She is a good reports-she ask questions and REPORTS!

Last thing… when you use words and expressions you don’t understand trying to look smarter, you look DUMBER than you are!

Go do something useful for which people pay…and meet standards of business, scholarship, performance and achievements against REAL competition. This is not it, Alicia, Simone, Alex, go get a REAL job. When you are in the same league-and not have to play these games…try again. Give us what we need in these critical times-people who can ask the right QUESTIONS so that the experts… with education, experience intelligence and the capacity to synergies each of these talents to help us understand and manage the world on our own, independently, with help from experts, made available by the network that STANDS for honest and most thorough and in-depth reporting and analysis!

Why Alicia, you may ask. The head of MSNBC's parent company is Cesar Conde of Cuban origin. Alicia's father, Senator Menendez in of Cuban origin. Alicia's husband, Carlos Prio Odio, is of Cuban origin. The head of MSNBC may not have any discretion when it comes to dealing with Ms. Menendez.

Are you referring to Alicia Menendez who often fills in for vacationing hosts (like Nicole Wallace)?
Nicole is coming back soon from her vacation.
P.S. ----who is Alicia Rosco?

I like Alicia and I feel badly for her, now that her father (Bob Menendez) has soiled the Menendez family name with his scandalous
behavior. I hope her budding career as a TV host has not been ruined.

UPDATE 1/4/23 ------ I've been watching a lot of Aiicia's new shows. I like her, but I think her voice is starting to sound muffled and "nasal", like she's wearing a mask. Alas, is she becoming the new Andrea Mitchell?
"What did Alicia just say?"
"I don't know, what do YOU think she said?"

For all her criticism of right wing corruption and abuse of power, when it comes to corruption coming from her own family, Menendez is not only fine with it but will even help defend the corrupt person in court. Case in point: her father Senator Menendez in his bribery scandal where he accpted gifts for political favors. The court ackowledged that all allegations against Menendez were true but the case was unable to move forward because in the middle of the Senator's case, the right wing Supreme Court changed precedent with their ruling on a similar pay to play case against Governor Mcdonnell of Virginia. Of course, Menendez dishonestly declared himself vindicated when in reality it was only a slackening of the rules on bribery gifts. And there was Alicia the whole time, defending government corruption in court and working to keep the corrupter out of prison. What all of this means is that her ethics are situational, and her protestations are just hollow virtue signals.

I watched Alicia Menendez fill in for Stephanie Ruhle this evening (10/14/22).It was the first time I had seen her and I was thoroughly impressed with her, the presentation, and the topic of the show. I searched her out to learn more about her. I could easily see her as an anchor on one of the evening shows on MSNBC. In fact, I enjoyed her voice more than the voice of Alex Wagner (whose voice is VERY annoying to me). I will watch Alicia's show, "American Voices", from now on!

I totally agree. I am long time msnbc watcher, and remember Alex on msnbc years back. They released her then for poor ratings, so I am surprised that they gave her this prime spot. Alicia is smart, a great listener, and very enjoyable to watch, always happy to see her filling in.
Some of the women are, or have gotten, very strident, and need less caffeine...tense bodies and fast reactions and often speaking over their guests...(yes, men guilty of this too), Alicia rarely does that....that just makes me tense, wanting to hear the rest of the guest's answer.

You're absolutely right. Symone Sanders is the worst. She's loud and unpleasant. Alicia Menendez is smart. They promote Jen Psaki all the time but Alicia Menendez never. It's a breath of fresh air when she fills in for Stephanie Ruhle.
