Well, Mehdi has made the right decision to outright leave MSNBC. How stupid can MSNBC be? They have lost one of THE best anchors who took the MAGA bulls by the horns and took no prisoners. MSNBC has lost its creativeness. They should have set up a show for him called Debate Me, I Dare You....or Point Counterpoint or something where his talents would shine. But no, we now get a weekend show with utterly useless Michael Steele the inept, always laughing fool, Sanders who hurts my ears, and Menendez who at least knows what she is doing. BIG MISTAKE MSNBC... you have become Entertainment tonight with every show a repeat of the previous show with a different anchor. Have started watching Sky News. I'm done.

@Elsa ----I agree with you 100% regarding the departure of Mehdi Hassan! He was one of my favorites.

12/23/23: Watching CNN late night (2-5am ET) with Quest as anchor. Never have seen him before. It is like watching Mehdi with that British oomph, argumentative style. He is asking strong questions of that Israeli Regev who spouts lies and Quest is pressuring him. Andrea Mitchell has Regev on her show almost daily and she just melts and sighs, and other MSNBC anchors also use him and they, too, don't correct him.

The Quest style very much like Mehdi...THIS is just what MSNBC needs! Will say again, Mehdi is one of the best that MSNBC has. Watching this Quest guy was like watching Mehdi. MSNBC needs to stop being so soft. It has evolved into like watching Entertainment Tonight (or Day). By the way, am watching CNN 'cause on Friday nights through the weekend all MSNBC can come up with is Dateline. No wonder they are loosing watchers.

@Elsa --- You're right about Mr. Quest! He's loaded with British charm and charisma and I always enjoy watching his very rare (too rare) appearances.

I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews below. Mehdi is a first rate talk show host---with well-chosen guests--- who creates excitement with his very FRANK opinions about controversial issues. Maybe he'll be more popular if he Americanizes his first name to Michael, or Matt, or Mark, or even "Teddy".

I agree. I think he is one of the best MSNBC has to offer. Out of this world debater, he takes on the big guys with no holds barred and doesn't care if you don't come back on his show. Rashida Jones needs to rethink just where he needs to do the most good. Hiding him on Sunday nights doesn't work. But daytime may not be good since weekly daytime MSNBC has turned into a GMA format and constant repeat of same news hour after hour (12-4). until you get to Wallace.

He only has 400k viewers for a reason

Really dislike him ~ a new American with a chip on his shoulder and a “know it all.” Very hard to watch. So I don’t anymore.

This guy is confused, like most liberals. He is personally against abortion but supports keeping it legal. He thinks America is more backwards than the UK, but loves living here, would never go back. Supports abortion choice, but not vaccination choice. He still makes wife and family wear masks, but fails to acknowledge the benefits of natural immunity. Unlike sane Americans, believes Biden is the best president since Roosevelt. Totally out of touch, he is a disgrace to my Pakistani Muslim community. He does not speak for us, nor any rational person. Can't wait for him to be cancelled.

There is no benefit to natural immunity. Spreading Covid to others is inhumane. Gtting vaxes, masking is the best prventative we have now. Lots of Covid Marys roaming around. Mehdi is one of MSNBC's best anchors. He tells it like it is without worrying if he pushes back on a guest that guest would not come back. He needs to be moved to daytime where he would get more visibility. Rashida Jones needs to rethink her anchor roster and the repitition of the same news hour after hour.

There is no benefit to natural immunity? You cannot be serious. Natural immunity is 13X better than any vaccine.

This guy should be switched to weekly, day time. Really Smart, does the push back on guests that needs to happen. Almost all MSMs are afraid to do pushbacks for fear they will lose guests. Mehdi ain't afraid to right a stated wrong.

This guy is a political clown.
He is very openly pro-islam and pro-democrat, but only because they are not as critical of islam others.
He is the epitome of the Fifth Column. Hates the West and America.
His ratings are horrible. Should be fired.
