Mark Twain once said that the music of Richard Wagner is "much better than it sounds".
By the same token, I'd say that Ali Velshi is a "much better broadcaster than he sounds".
His voice is boisterous enough to penetrate walls and travel enormous distances from your
TV set, and you often have to reduce the volume, but I think it is time well spent to listen
to WHAT he's saying.

I can no longer watch your Saturday 10 A.M. show as long as it is dominated by commercials.
Commercials are taking over television in general. But I've never seen it actually predominate a
show as it does on yours.

Velshi has a terrible speaking voice, it's harsh and uninviting.

The news is the same on every media outlet, the only thing that changes is the personality presenting the news. Get rid of Velshi, it sounds like he's always trying to bully the news into my eardrum.

Seriously, worst on air personality at MSNBC. Please more of Joy Reid, Chris Hayes, and Jonathan Capehart. Much, much less of Velshi, Hasan and the like.

Are you by chance "anti-woke"? There's a better news channel for you bro.

Would rather not see Ali Velshi as the replacement for Brian Williams.

Donna Diepen

Agreed. Although Velshi is very smart and informed, he has a harsh way of interviewing guests and cuts them off before they're finished speaking. I will not watch his slot if he replaces Brian Williams or Rachel.

Ali Velshi is a former Al Jezeera business reporter.... Al Jezeera? Really.
This Anti Israel ,Anti American , middle eastern news service known for spewing misinformation.
He's A Canadian citizen, now a supposed voice for the state of our democracy and Union here in the US.?He is a media opportunist , political hack socialist, who has NO idea of the blood and sacrifice of Americans that gave him the right to come here and get paid to be a low level media blow hard. Don't listen to this guys loud mouth garbage. Shame on you NBC
And your French parent co. Comcast.

Well, as a 77y/o American I catch Al Jezeera-English, BBC, for some international info and to see how they all report on our progress with maintaining a democratic republic--quite interesting to compare their info vs rt wing blather of Fox. Also the major networks I grew up with incl PBS. Info from MSNBC, CNN, HuffPost, C-SPAN. Myriad channels for movies, series, comedy. My print news I take from WaPo, NYT, Bloomberg, PBS NewsHour + a few others.
I enjoy a reasonably well-rounded stream of info for educated newsworthy balance and broad entertainment... And, I sleep well?

Al Jezerra , has no real interest in the success of free democratic society in the US . The majority of countries where it is a popular broadcast are run by Autocrats. Your news sources although dominant in the US, all report the same party line info, with minimal counter arguments. I'm glad you sleep well, but so do frogs in warm water as they are slowly boiled.

Bobo is an appropriate name. Velshi IMO is the best reporter on television. You obviously know little about him. Try reading up. He worked for a legitimate Al Jazeera America after a lengthy career at CNN as a business and financial reporter. Al Jazeera America has been out of business since 2016 at which time Velshi became an employee of MSNBC.
As for Comcast, they are not French but a Philadelphia based corporate conglomerate monopoly and part owner of the United States Government. They have confiscated the people's internet (net neutrality) by bribing Congress. Comcast's media puppet MSNBC allowed them to control the Democratic primary, elevating corporate whore Joe Biden to the Presidency. Either Biden or trump was a win for Comcast.

Velshi what a poor excuse for a journalist.A no lip racial divider. Where does MSNBC get these people.Keeps on pushing racial hatred every day.It is sad ever heard of unity.

Ali Velshi is not at all a controversial newscaster. He is one of the best and deserves much more attention than he gets at MSNBC.

Thanks for the wonderful coverage Ali! Austin, TX loves you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, I think Velshi is insightful and presents stories that you don't see elsewhere. I really like that he goes out into different parts of the country and speaks to people with different viewpoints.
