I was excited when MSNBC announced this weekend's show lineup.
Only to be turned off when Alicia Menendez appeared like she was the host with Michael Steele and Simone Sanders as her guest. Like her Sidekicks!
They should mix it up giving each one the starting role.
#18 For a show that airs during peak morning.
Only 92 points above Politics Nation that airs at 5 pm. Not prime time.
I don't think it's because Simone is talking to fast.
Perhaps it's because of the initial appearance.

my favorite weekend new show. I love Symone most. I do believe they need more room. The set up is a bit too cozy.

I miss Yasmin Vossoughian. I don't know what time slot she was in. She is very polished and intelligent. If there was breaking news she really had a handle on what was going on. I don't know why they replaced her show.

I think all three work well together. I like Michael Steele the best, but the other two add something.

Watching it now. Sanders needs to just shut up. Continuously tries to take over and talks a mile a minute...Her puppet master Steele cannot control her but he tries. THE worst show...and Alicia just sits there and she is the only one with any anchor creds. Pay Velshi more to start at 8 up to 12, hook him up with Alicia and get rid of the other 2.

Cannot watch...Steele and his folksy banter and Sanders with her quacking...Alicia just sits there? Alicia is the real anchor with experience. Steele is just a cover for Sanders behavior. Rashida Jones has no clue which is obvious when she coerced Ronna Romney to join MSNBC which was a BIG FAIL.

I think the WEEKEND show would be much more thrilling and entertaining if they hire AL FRANKEN to host the show!

The Weekend is terrible. Alicia should have the entire two hour show without Steele and Sanders, I had hopes for Rashida Jones yet her hiring of former White House staff is abysmal. Perhaps acting is her forte and executive decisions beyond her reach. I can not believe Yasmin Vossoughian and Katie Phang are extraordinary talents yet are reduced or sidelined for inferior communicators such as Steele and Sanders. Katie Phang early weekend with exceptional legal insight and Yasmin Vossoughian with her insightful questions and comments could put this show on the map during the 2024 Election cycle. Get rid of small table which makes participants look uncomfortable and large. Mary

Wrong, Rashida Jones. Rashida L. Jones is the actress and daughter of Quincy Jones. Rashida Jones, the TV executive, is not an actress. Also, I find the show to be great! Furthermore, Katie and Yasmin already have a show. Maybe you can suggest how they should put their "show on the map."

I think the weekend is great, not understanding all the negative comments about Sanders. I guess people are just looking for someone to be mono when speaking. I think its a great line-up, i had concern about Alicia initially because i didn't see how she would fit with Sanders and Steele, but she is the calm, steady voice. Sanders and Steeles breaks everything to laymen terms that the non-political can understand. Great Show! If you are going to change anything, change that little bitty table that you have all (3) sitting at and provide them a little more room.
