NickToons will have variety again starting next week, but I call it a barebones one at best because even with more shows added SpongeBob still hogs over three quarters of the schedule. The only variety you'll ever get from this current era of NickToons is just new Nick content that's already on the main channel at this point (plus the 2012 iteration of TMNT). The best way for NickToons to regain the charm of its old era is to have old animated shows air on this channel again in the same vein as Boomerang and MeTVToons instead of leaving the channel as the "SpongeBob and another modern Nick show" channel on autopilot.

Who even watches NickToons anymore? The fact that the channel continues to surpass Boomerang in the ratings despite how bad their schedule is nowadays is just so funny to me. It honestly makes me question if Boomerang is gonna shut down soon, because despite how good their schedule is, the channel has not been doing so well with viewers. Can someone explain this f**kin reality please for God's sale?

So NickToons decided to bring back non-SpongeBob content starting this week. Honestly not any better because the other non-SB content the channel is airing is nothing but modern Nick content. The channel's original premise of airing old cartoons is sadly nothing but a lost relic now, but at the same time, not surprising considering the current state of cable ratings.
Don't be surprised if the channel reverts back to NickSpongeBob again in like less than one month though.

I seriously don't understand how can a channel with more endless marathon slop like NickToons garner more ratings than an actual cartoon channel that still airs a wide variety of classic cartoons. Are they gonna ever pull the plug on this fuckin lost cause of a TV network? I hope they do, because this channel simply isn't worth watching anymore if they're no longer gonna care about the classics just like Boomerang is currently doing with their lineup. And I thought what The Fairly OddParents did in Seasons 9 and 10 was bad, but what NickToons is doing now is just fucking worse...

Anyone here miss the old Nicktoons? I said it because it's really sad what the Nicktoons Channel has become as of now.
For anyone that still wanna bash Cartoon Network, just look at the current lineups of both Cartoon Network and Nicktoons and you'll finally understand what I mean when I say Cartoon Network has a better lineup compared to almost all Nickelodeon channels ESPECIALLY this poor excuse of a TV network that is Nicktoons in its current state.

Did anyone miss when Nicktoons lived up to its original purpose? Looks like I am. In 2022 it downgraded into a rehash of the main channel but two years later it became a rehash of 2023 TeenNick with how often they air only one show (or franchise) every week. Yes, I know people are gonna defend this schedule by saying "SpongeBob is 25, that's why Nicktoons is airing SpongeBob nonstop", but this is no excuse for the lack of variety on the Nicktoons schedule. What happened to airing beloved classics like Fairly OddParents (regardless of it's the good seasons), Invader Zim, Chalkzone, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Avatar, Back at the Barnyard, TUFF Puppy and TMNT (2012). Nicktoons is supposed to be a rerun farm for classic shows, but no, they just threw that purpose away when Paramount Plus debuted. If you look at their schedules as of now, it's basically nothing but SpongeBob 24/7.
People especially on IMDb gave modern Loud House way too much flak just for the cliche predictable plots. But if there's anything that's MORE cliche and predictable, it's this channel. Say what you want about the newer seasons of The Loud House, at least the writers are trying to do something different with each subsequent episode, even if the writing wouldn't be on par with the earlier seasons, mainly the Savino era, in a way that is more fun to watch. Here, the current Nicktoons Schedules feel like the people in charge of the scheduling for Nicktoons has completely given up working for this channel. If this doesn't convince at least one intelligent cable viewer to stay away from this channel at all costs, then I don't know what will. I'm dead serious. This channel has been a lost cause ever since they ditched their Fairly OddParents Block from Schedules in June 2022.

Exactly! Like this channel is not the same like it used to be. It once had a wide variety of shows with classic NickToons from the 90s and 2000s, and even some anime. Now it's mainly SpongeBob and The Loud House, This channel really went downhill since 2018, and it's practically a dead channel.

UPDATED: And Nicktoons only airs nothing but the SpongeBob Universe now. Especially SpongeBob. And the only show still airing on Nicktoons that isn't SpongeBob is The Patrick Star Show.

Agreed. And don't forget that Nicktoons pulled a TeenNick last week by marathoning SpongeBob 24/7 along with occasional reruns of its spinoffs. It's sad really, because we all thought the channel still had a better lineup than TeenNick on how they had TMNT (mainly the 2012 version) on its lineup, which could have led to more old shows being back on the schedule, but no. Nowadays, Nicktoons just feels like the other side of the coin (a bad one of course) compared to TeenNick. Because the latter Nick channel was slowly starting to recover when they brought back the original iCarly from 2007. Nicktoons on the other hand, it just gets sadder every week. Especially since their TMNT block was permanently discontinued for more of the same two aforementioned shows.
