I think OP live is one of the best shows on TV. It has greatly improved since being on A&E as live PD. It shows the real dangers that our law enforcement has to contend with while on or off duty. I thank all of them for their service to their communities. The people complaining about last weeks show and the officers hitting the man in the face I guess didn’t see what I saw as they tried to pull the man out of the car when he wouldn’t comply. He was kicking and punching the female officer in the face and body, that’s why he got punched back. I would have punched him back myself so if an officer defends themselves as they should it is now called police brutality which is a load of crap.i know people are going to try and make another racial thing like they did about George Floyd, which was not racially motivated he was a man that just had committed an armed robbery and was high on a mixture of meth and barbiturates which is really what killed him from an OD, that’s why he stopped breathing.
The show is average at best. The worst part of the show is watching the three or four idiots that host the show who are terrible actors and terrible on TV.
The viewership numbers show what I have suspected: People are losing interest.
Too much jumping around from scene to scene; an officer is dealing with a mess or a testy person but we're off to another department because "lights are flashing" allegedly. It's just an excuse to cut to a commercial while they are en route to what ends up being a nothing burger.
Too much of a focus on certain departments. Dan will wail, "We're live with 7 (whatever the number is) departments!" Yet they focus on 3 or 4 all night.
Last hour is unwatchable with their 3.5 minutes of content and 4 minutes of commercials. Rinse repeat.
Lastly Rizzo had a questionable relationship with the much maligned "Street Cop Training" program based on findings from an investigation by the New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller. I find it interesting he found his way to OPL.
OPL is not Live PD. On the surface it looks like it is, but underneath, it doesn't have the decorum and respectability Live PD had.
Agree the show is lacking anymore. Too much dead air. Why are there people to host the show that never speak?
Why do we only hear Dan Abrams Curtis is real police should talk us through what we are seeing. Dan rarely pays attention.
Just too much dead air or watching someone drive to a call. That is not entertaining it is watching paint dry.
Change the missing people segment to be just missing people not a specific race, it is insulting.
Since Sean Larkin has been largely absent, I find the show to lack interest to me.
I want the original team of Sean and Curtis every weekend.
I generally stop watching when Sticks disappeared.
Ratings have been slowly going down.
Where is Curtis Wilson now?
Sticks made the show with his dry humor and personality.
I really don't watch any more. Bring back the old team.
Love watching Dan host OPL every weekend...has great interviews and comments...2 thumbs up! At the same time I just can't watch his program on Newsnation. Maybe because it's politics...go figure
I love this show, love the hosts. So thankful Reelz took it on. It was like losing a friend when they took it off air. Commercials suck but that's just the way it is...if there are no commercials-then there's no On Patrol Live.
I look forward to watching OPL every weekend! Dan Abrams is a great host and Curtis Wilson is so cool and laid back👍🏽 I miss seeing Larkin BUT the show Carries on well without him.
Wish Styx had stayed and Abrams had left.
